OSCOM BOF beast
Schedule a BOF
April 18, 2003
This a rudimentary tool for scheduling Bird of a Feather sessions at OSCOM 3. It is derived from http://mrbs.sourceforge.net/. The primary differences are that in this version
- You are mostly limited to a set of days.
- It is possible to add comments to a session.
- The sessions are syndicated via rss 1.0 and 2.0.
- There are new data points for areas, rooms, and sessions.
Prior to releasing this for use by the conference goers, i intend to add
- The ability to set an 'open' and 'close' time for a location so that restaurants and bars are easier to use as predetermined locations.
- Better data quality checking.
- Some cleaning up of the ui and interaction between the various functionalities.
- A post to [participants] whenever a new BOF or meeting is added.
- Either no longer require authentication for the admin features or make use of midgard or openldap.
Currently, all authentication is turned off.
The only difference between and admin and a regular user is the ability to add/edit/delete areas and rooms.
There is also logic from mrbs that only allows the creator of a session to edit/delete said session. - Either update or remove the help
- Anything else y'all think should be added/substracted.
I intend to add most of these items today (april 18, 2003) while flying and will post an update tonight. With y'all's blessing, I intend to release it to the general public by Monday morning UTC.
Please use and send me your comments. Thank you very much.
